Roast garbanzo beans in the oven for a snack or topping. You can customize the spices to your preference, sweet, savory, sweet and spicy, etc.
~1 tbsp coconut oil or olive oil
1 can garbanzo beans (I used Eden organic, no salt added)
basil
oregano
chili powder
garlic
red pepper flakes (TONS, I love spicy; add to your preference or lack thereof)
ground black pepper
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Drain chickpeas and dry by blotting with a paper towel. Place parchment paper on a baking sheet or spray with non-stick spray/add oil.
Toss the oil and spices with the chickpeas. Bake for about 35-50 minutes, mixing the chickpeas about every 10-15 minutes. Keep a close eye around 40 minutes as you do not want to burn them. They will become darker and crunchy.
Store these roasted garbanzos in a sealed tight container.
This looks like a great snack and easy to make!
