This smoothie incorporates sweet, tart, and juicy fruits to combat the dandelion green’s slight bitterness. The banana adds a bit of creaminess for a nice and thick texture, use a frozen banana here if you’d like it a bit icy. The more the merrier for dandelion greens, but start with 1 cup and see how you like the taste.

Ingredients:

1 cup non-dairy milk (or filtered water)

1-2 cups dandelion greens

1 nectarine (or peach)

1 ripe banana

1/2-1 cup strawberries

pinch of stevia (optional)

Directions:

Put all into a blender and blend until smooth.

Voilà! Enjoy my fellow friends.

  1. I had no idea dandelion greens are so incredibly good for you – love that you shared this information!

And the Smoothie sounds amazing – once dandelion season comes back around I will have to give this a try!

  2. Paco

Where does one get Dandelion Greens?

Is this something the store sells or you have to find/identify in the backyard/nature?

    Thanks in advance

    • Hey Paco! You may purchase Dandelion Greens in store. I’ve found them at Whole Foods, and I’ve also purchased them from my local organic buying club. I’m sure during the dandelion season, Farmer’s Markets would carry them as well.
